First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all of you, the dedicated fantasy baseball community, for your patience and understanding during this time of transition. I started work on this new site months ago as a concept but there were many hiccups along the way that delayed things much further than any of us would have liked. At the end of the day, the reason I put the time and effort into making these changes though is because I do want this site to have room to grow into something more than it has been. This has been a one-man fantasy baseball operation for a very long time but maybe Mr. Cheatsheet could be a place with more contributors, more sports, more tools and more analysis. I would really like that to be the case but having a better website is the only way to get to that prospective future.

Regardless, the site is now live-ish since you’re reading this! I say “live-ish” because there are still a few features I plan to add. The site is operational though and you can browse and read stuff on it so that’s good. While this process has taken much longer than anticipated, it will lead to this site being able to do a lot better stuff over future seasons.

Fresh Paint, New Opportunities

The core of the site really isn’t any different at the moment. But, the beauty of the new site is that I will be able to build a lot more into it because this site has literally been coded and built from scratch. Perhaps there will be web-based cheatsheets operating right within this site one day. Perhaps there will be fantasy football cheatsheets. Perhaps there will be in-season tools to analyze trades, rosters and lots more.

But, right now, those things are all prospective because the only way those things will happen is if the community wants them. The way I will know that the community wants new tools and features is through the donations here. I still have no plans to charge money for any of my tools here and the only way that is possible is through donations from fantasy sports fans like yourself. So, if you enjoy the work and want to see this become more of a full-time thing, I’d appreciate your support.

A More Active, Engaging Future

Honestly, there’s no shortage of ideas for what could be done here at Mr. Cheatsheet. The only obstacle is time and resources. But, most of all, it is my hope and dream that Mr. Cheatsheet could serve as more than just a website that you visit in March to download one spreadsheet and then never return again. It is certainly your right to do so, but those cases are failures on my part in some regard.

I am hopeful that I can provide more content and more reasons to return to the site on a regular basis. Beyond that, I’m hopeful to find ways to build up this community a bit too. If you’re a fan of this site and its content, you probably would like a lot of other people who frequent this site and it would be great if we had ways to connect more easily.

All that being said, my dream for the site is a more active site (on my part) and a more engaging community with ways to connect with other fantasy sports fans here.

We Started From The Bottom, Now We Here

If you take a dive into the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, you can find the many different looks that Mr. Cheatsheet has donned over the years. The picture above is from 2010 and one the earliest cached versions of the site. It was just a little Blogger site where I wrote a lot of stuff and posted tons of cheatsheet variations for a very small audience of people. Somehow, thanks to tens of thousands of regular users, I was able to keep that fantasy baseball project up for 15+ years.

Here we are today in 2025 with a chance to turn this site into something bigger, grander and more helpful to more people than ever before. I hope you tag along for the ride over the months and years ahead because I’m excited to see where the site goes from here.

Though I got a bit of a later start to things this season, you can still expect lots of good content over the upcoming weeks as we get closer to Opening Day. There will be Special Blend projections on this site. There will be my expert rankings and, of course, my beloved Narco sleepers. And, who knows? Maybe there will be some unexpected stuff beyond that too.

Once again, thank you for your patience and for being a part of the Mr. Cheatsheet community. I am incredibly excited about this new chapter and can’t wait to see how this site evolves over the years ahead!
