There’s a pretty good reason that this site is called Mr. Cheatsheet and that’s because I specialize in creating powerful, customizable and (most importantly) free Excel spreadsheets that you can use to dominate your fantasy baseball drafts. I am releasing the first version of the 2015 draft cheatsheets to the world today but there will be more updates to come over the weeks ahead.
The cheatsheets are interactive spreadsheets that are can be tuned to your personal league settings and preferences. You will be able to use these sheets to see how valuable each player is specifically for your league. The spreadsheets also update throughout the draft so you can easily know when you need to adapt your draft strategy based on how a draft is going. For the data nerds, you get a ton of available projections and draft data right at your fingertips in one easy place.
There are three types of cheatsheets. For rotisserie league owners, you can use the standard draft or the auction draft cheatsheet depending on your draft type. If you’re not in a roto league, there’s also a cheatsheet for point scoring leagues too.
2015 Roto Draft Cheatsheet
2015 Roto Auction Cheatsheet
2015 Points League Draft Cheatsheet
To better understand all of the features of these special little cheatsheets, skim through this post here that explains each area of the spreadsheets.
Please note that these sheets are designed for Microsoft Excel and utilize macros which will make them unable to be used on Mac versions of Excel (it sucks, I know).
Once downloading the sheets, you’ll be prompted with two messages to enable content and then you’ll be able to use them fully after that. Once again, if you are a bit confused upon opening the cheatsheets, refer to the how-to post here.
Within this release, there are a number of data sources available for projections, rankings and average draft position. There will be many more sources of data coming in the releases between now and April and there will be updates to the current data as well.
Enjoy the cheatsheets and let me know if you have any issues so I can make sure to get them fixed before your draft rolls around!

02/11/2015 at 10:24 PMdownload 2015 points cheasheet but get "Run-time arroe '32809': Application-defined or object-defined error". macros don't run.

02/11/2015 at 10:52 PMHi Andre. Microsoft had a bug in their latest update that is likely causing the error for you. The Fix-It button on Microsoft's support page should resolve it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3025036/#Resolution1

02/11/2015 at 11:00 PMLuke, thanks for the quick reply. I've run the fix-it thing a couple times and has not corrected the problem. I used your sheets last year and am hoping I can use them again this year. Thanks!

02/11/2015 at 11:28 PMHey is it possible to add a grid to one of the slides where you can track who has been taken and where in a future edition. I have used those for live drafts and think it wouldn't be that difficult to transition that kind of stuff. Thanks for the cheatsheets man!
Luke
02/11/2015 at 11:55 PMWeird… I'll google around and see if I can figure out why that might be happening.
Luke
02/11/2015 at 11:56 PMLike just a list of all the players and what pick they were taken at?
Rhett Oldham
02/12/2015 at 2:33 AMCan you change the name of the teams without the password?
Luke
02/12/2015 at 2:40 AMYeah, you should be able to. It's on the second page of the Settings pop-ups. Click the team names button at the bottom.

02/12/2015 at 4:12 PMI'm having the same issue as Andre as well. I ran the "Fix-It" button and still get the same Run-time 32809 error. Hopefully a solution turns up because this spreadsheet looks fantastic.
Luke
02/13/2015 at 1:39 AMKevin and Andre: I've uploaded new versions that should avoid this error.

02/13/2015 at 3:27 AMFor some reason…CHW players continue to be included into my spreadsheet even though I've only selected NL teams for my updated spreadsheet?
Luke
02/13/2015 at 3:43 AMThanks for catching that. I fixed the problem and uploaded an updated version that resolves that.
Tim Satrom
02/13/2015 at 7:14 PMAfter entering all keepers in Roto Auction, pitcher Curr Proj $ is coming up negative… not a big deal, but on the positional worksheet, the pitchers are sorted worst to first (Chacin on top for $15)
Seth M
02/16/2015 at 10:01 PMThere seems to be a problem updating position eligibility. Even when the position is changed in the Draft Central tab, neither the Positional Worksheet nor the Team Summary shifts accordingly as it did in last year's version.
Luke
02/17/2015 at 3:17 PMAh, good catch. I'll get it fixed and upload a new version soon.
Luke
02/17/2015 at 3:18 PMWeird! I'll check it out. Thanks.
Doug
02/17/2015 at 6:08 PMHey man, having an issue with the sorting tool on the draft central tab. When I try to sort by HR, it sorts by AVG, when I sort by RBI, it sorts by Runs, etc. Do you know how I might be able to update this?
Anders D
02/17/2015 at 6:22 PMThanks for the sheets. I have built my own for a few years but they are not near as detailed or as helpful as yours. I do have one question, are you able to add Net Stolen Bases and Net Saves to the league settings? It is not a big deal if it is difficult but if it is a five minute fix it would make it more accurate for my league.
Thanks again Luke,
Luke
02/17/2015 at 6:26 PMI'll check it out. Which of the spreadsheets are you using (Roto, Auction, Points)?
Jesse Wachtel
02/17/2015 at 8:26 PMI seem to be getting an error code 380 when hitting any of the buttons such as show/hide. Any advice?
Luke
02/17/2015 at 9:07 PMI'll try recreating it on my end. Which sheet did you download (roto, auction, points)?
AJ
02/17/2015 at 11:23 PMI'm new to this site, so I apologize if this is a dumb question – but do you supply/sell any spreadsheets to track a league (especially salaries) throughout the year? I create my own, but I'm pretty average in my Excel skills. We're a 14-team salaried keeper league who uses previous-year salaries. If not, no biggy – just curious! Thanks.
Jesse Wachtel
02/18/2015 at 3:31 PMRoto Auction. I am on a mac using Excel 2011
Luke
02/18/2015 at 3:36 PMAh yes, sorry, I should maybe state it more clearly in the article but the Mac version of Excel does not work with this type of spreadsheet. Sorry about that.
Luke
02/18/2015 at 3:37 PMNet SB shouldn't be a problem but I'm not sure if I'd have to look around for projections that include Net Saves (or Blown Saves) so I'm not sure if that would work or not.
Luke
02/18/2015 at 3:38 PMHmm. I'd be interested to hear about what your in-season cheatsheet is like. I currently don't do that but I'd consider doing an in-season sheet if there was something that would be helpful to everyone.
Anders D
02/18/2015 at 3:51 PMThanks for the update Luke. I will look for it in updates.
Anders D
02/18/2015 at 6:26 PMLuke, Is it possible to add a "Unhide"/"Hide" feature to the Positional Worksheet as well. For me, I feel this will help quickly identify how many players in each position have bee drafted. I know this is on the Draft window for most drafting sights but maybe others would find this useful on these sheets.
Thanks again, I am liking these sheets the more I play around with them.
Luke
02/18/2015 at 6:39 PMI have it automatically slash out and gray out people who get drafted as the draft goes on right now. You're thinking you'd want the ability to fully hide them though?
Anders D
02/18/2015 at 6:59 PMI was looking for them to remain slashed out and grayed out. I looked around more and saw that they get moved to the bottom of the column. That will work also.
I also noticed that Buster Posey does not show up on the Positional Sheet at all. I tried downloading a new sheet and it is doing the same thing.
Anders D
02/18/2015 at 7:01 PMForgot to mention. The Auction workbook is doing the Posey thing. Roto workbook is fine. Maybe it is just something screwed up on my end
Jeff
02/18/2015 at 7:26 PMWould you be able to add an "IF" position to the list of starting spots?
There is an OF spot, but no general IF position. Thanks.
Smitty
02/19/2015 at 3:51 AMIs there any chance you could make the positional worksheet display the outfielders in LF, CF and RF when it is selected that way in the positions?
Amit Patel
02/19/2015 at 5:16 PMare these "special blend" ranks?
Doug
02/19/2015 at 7:10 PMHey Luke – thanks for the reply. I'm using the Auction sheet
Chris
02/20/2015 at 12:12 AMI second this…thanks!
Luke
02/20/2015 at 4:02 AMGreat idea… I'll see what tweaks I have to make in order to make this happen but I'll try to get it added in there in the next update or two.
Jeff
02/20/2015 at 5:45 PMThis is makes a ton of sense. I'd appreciate this too! Thanks.
Kevin Hall
02/20/2015 at 9:15 PMDo you have any idea when you'll have an updated cheatcheet that includes your special blend projections? I'm a big fan of those hybrid projections.
Thanks!
CKearney
02/21/2015 at 12:05 AMI participate in a $26 auction league with 0.10 min bids compared to a normal $260 auction league. Within your auction spreadsheet, the live standings tab rounds money available. Is it possible to extend two decimal spots to that?
Thanks!
Joel Godwin
02/23/2015 at 10:42 PMHey, found your site on reddit and the cheatsheets look great!
Have you considered creating a Auction/Points cheatsheet? I'm using the auction file as a way to track value and what players have been drafted for while using the points file to analysis players based off of my league's settings.
Chauncey St. John
02/25/2015 at 3:27 AMI second this! Although I feel greedy requesting anything more…in either case, a donation is happening now 🙂
Random comment…am I crazy, or does it seem like no fantasy baseball analysis sites properly understand terminology of scoring formats and matchup formats? I constantly see things like points vs roto, or H2H vs points. Am I missing something, or are the "scoring" formats Points or Categories, and the "matchup" formats H2H or Season (what I understand as Roto)? In essence, you could have a H2H league that does scoring either by points or cats, or you could have a seasonal league that does scoring either by points or cats. And then draft type would be entirely separate. Am I missing something? If not, why does there seem to be so much misuse of this terminology?
Luke
02/25/2015 at 4:44 AMI've thought about doing an Auction/Points one but wasn't sure what the demand would be for it. Hadn't had it asked for before. Can't promise anything but I'll see what I can do.
Chauncey: that's a great question and I even struggled for a while with how to categorize the sheets. Points and Roto are the two different scoring formats, I agree, for your preseason prep. And, Auction versus Straight Draft are two different draft formats for your prep. So, you have those variations for what kind of league you're preparing for (and I have three of those four variations covered with my sheets).
In addition, yes, there are H2H Roto leagues and H2H Points leagues that score weekly as opposed to season tallies but I don't think they ultimately have an effect on preseason prep you do because you're still most worried about scoring format and draft format.
Luke
02/25/2015 at 4:45 AMI'll be including those but I still need a couple more projections released that are used to calculate my special blend projections. I'm eager to get them added in too!
Luke
02/25/2015 at 4:47 AMI thiiiiink so. I'll give it a whirl and see what I can do.
Randy Munro
02/25/2015 at 9:26 AMI can't wait for your special blend to be finished. It is really amazing! You helped propel me to my second title last season and can't wait to defend my championship to become the reigning, defending champion!
Drusive
02/27/2015 at 2:58 AMMy league allows for auction dollars to be traded. Is there a way I can input the differences per team?
aimrocky
03/02/2015 at 3:36 PMI've noticed an issue with the points league cheat sheet. After loading the settings, it shows that every player has been drafted to team "0". Has anyone else seen that?
Evan E Miles
03/02/2015 at 4:06 PMI was wondering if you could add a few categories to the Points sheet? I am specifically looking for Errors, Double plays turned, Blown Saves and Games Started(pitching.)
If you cannot, or it will take too much time, that is perfectly fine. These are excellent sheets.
Andrew Hafemann
03/02/2015 at 5:00 PMLove the sheet, huge help last year on draft day! I'm wondering about .OPS and why it won't show up in the projections columns even though it's selected in my Settings. Maybe I'm missing something? Thanks! Great work!
